DJ Jonasty
Weekends

Birthdate: 11-13

Bio: DJ Jonasty had a good idea that radio might be the perfect job for him when he first saw Samuel L. Jackson playing "Ike Luv from WLUV Radio" in Spike Lee's movie "Do The Right Thing." He's a native of Chicago but was raised in the west suburbs before finding his way down I-55 to attend Jackson State. He got his first start in radio from WJSU in 2001 and hasn't looked back since. DJ Jonasty graduated from JSU in August of 2004 with a degree in mass communications. In his spare time he enjoys playing basketball, reading, drawing, listening to music, and enjoying the "nightlife." When asked how he got the name "Jonasty," he simply laughed and with a wink he said "its just a nickname i picked up in college."
