Coco Chanel Weekends 10a-2p
Coco Chanel has spent her life loving radio! She grew up at WJSU where her father, Larry McAdoo, was General Manager. So naturally radio has been a lifelong dream, and Coco is living it up!
Coco Chanel has been a part time DJ at WJMI since November of 2002. In addition to growing up at WJSU, she got her first experience as a student intern at the Jackson State University station. She fell in love with radio, and has no intentions of falling out of it, no matter how busy she gets!
Coco is a proud mother and is happily engaged. She looks forward to her next phase of life which will include the start of her mentorship program called Second Chances. She will provide girls, ages 9 to 12, with a safe haven for venting their frustrations and for learning new things. Giving back is of utmost importance to Miss Chanel!!
She brings her passion into her work and used her platform for good. Once during an interview with Fantasia, Coco encouraged her and said, “Your story shows little girls they don’t have to go through what you went through and that if they have to, then it’s not the end. They can still move on and do great things!”
Currently, Coco is finishing her degree and happily entertaining and connecting with listeners. Let her encourage you on weekends from 10 am to 2 pm, right here at 99 Jams WJMI!
